Day 1: Bodrum

Boarding starts at 3:30 p.m. from Bodrum Harbour. Early arriving guests can leave their luggage to Barbaros Yachting Office. On the first day, our boat will be anchored at Bodrum Port for dinner and overnight stay. Bodrum has a history that goes back to the 12 th century B.C. The city which was called ‘Halicarnassus’ was the birthplace of Herodotus; the ‘Father of History’ who lived in the 5th century B.C. The ‘Mausoleum’ of King Mausolus (350 B.C.) which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World is in this city. The only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre. It is one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13.000 guests, and is still hosting many shows and concerts for the art-lovers in Bodrum. Another place that you should visit first at your arrival in Bodrum is the landmark of the city ‘Castle of Saint Peter’. It is one of the best preserved piece of work whose history goes back to the Middle Ages. ‘Myndos Gate’ through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus is another place that you should not miss.

Day 2: Orak Island – Çökertme
While you have breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise programme and the boat. Then we will set sail for Orak Island. Taking the opportunity to swim in the crystal-blue waters of Orak Island and to have lunch, we will hoist sail to Çökertme, a small and lovely fishing town, for diner and for overnight stay. If the weather conditions are available it will be possible to sail. Guests are welcome to take a short walk on the shore.

Day 3: Seven Island – Küfre – Long Port
Before the breakfast in the early morning we will set sail for Seven Islands. You will be greeting another beautiful day in Seven Islands Region. In the region full of many small islands and coral reef it is recommended that you should dive, swim, sleep and rest. Our guests can also enjoy a walk in the forests surrounded with pine trees. Our first stop in Seven Islands Region will be Kufre Bay. We will be anchoring at Uzun Liman (Long Port) for diner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Tuzla – Löngöz – English Harbour
The name English Port comes from the 2nd World War; when the ships of English Navy -forces used to dock here. In this area there are so many small and large bays sheltered enough and suitable for the boats to anchor.

Day 5: Cleopatra Island – Karacasöğüt
Cruising to Sedir (Kedrae) island. This unique island with its small beach and unbelievable clear water is like an open-air museum. You can see the city-walls, the ruins from the Dors’ reign (later on restorated as a church); the amphitheatre with 1500 guest capacity and the domed historical buildings. You can walk around the wrecks of pillars with antique writings on them or the ancient stones decorated with reliefs. Cleopatra beach, located on this island has a very special kind of sand that can only be found in the deserts of Northern Africa. According to the myth King Antonius had brought this sand from Egypt by sea for Cleopatra.
Then our boat will cruise to Karacasöğüt village for dinner and to spend the night. This lovely village is located 25 kms away from Marmaris. The transportation from here to Marmaris can be done by ‘dolmus’ buses. We will have optional tours to Marmaris or Dalyan-Caunos for those wishing to explore these places.

Day 1: Marmaris
The boarding starts at 3:30 p.m. from Marmaris Harbour. On the first day, the service starts on the boat with dinner and overnight stay will be in Marmaris Port. Marmaris, which was built upon the antique Karian city; Phyckos has been under the governorship of many different civilisations. The most valuable work-piece that you will see today is Marmaris Castle dating from 1577. There is also a mosque and an 8-room caravansary covered with arches from the Ottoman Period. The ruins of the Antique times lie on Asar Hill; a short hill located on the northern side of the city. Being one of the best-known touristic places of Turkey Marmaris also has a large marina.

Day 2: Ekincik Gulf – Dalyan
While you have breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise programme and the boat. Cruise will start with Ekincik Gulf. If you want, you may join our optional Dalyan Tour from here. In this tour you will enjoy the natural beauty of the delta as you pass along by the river boat called Piyade. Finally you will arrive in Dalyan which is a Karian City known to be founded by Miletos’ son. Besides its ancient value with its Rock Tombs, Akropol Castle, Ancient Theater and Basilica complex, Dalyan is also well-known for it natural beauty with Caretta- Caretta (İztuzu) Beach. Following a rejuvenating Mud Bath the final destination of the day will be Turtle Beach. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Gulf of Ekincik.

Day 3: Tersane Island – Manastır – Kızılada
Because of wavy capes, Dişibilmez and Kurtoğlu, that we have to cross place, we will cruise earlier than the other days and reach the famous Fethiye Gulf. We will anchor near Tershane Island for breakfast. This naturally protected bay, which is used as a harbour at present, was used as shipyards in Byzantine and Ottoman times. For lunch and a swimming break, we will go to Manastır Bay. This place is also known as Cleopatra Bay or Sunken Bath Bay due to the beautiful underwater ruins of a bath. By the end of the day we will have anchored at Kızıl Burun for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Fethiye
On the fourth day of our cruise we will arrive in Fethiye Harbour. Fethiye, which was known as Telmessos in the ancient times, was the most important city situated on Lykia’s western border with Karia. It is believed that the city’s name came from Apollon’s son Telmessos. As the name suggests the city was the city of light and was famous for its prophets. Fethiye stretches out in a half circle along the bay protected by 12 Islands. You can visit the city center or you can join our optional tours to Ölüdeniz and Saklıkent.

Day 1: Antalya or Kemer
Boarding will start at 3:30 p.m from Antalya Çelebi Marina or Kemer marina. Service starts with dinner and overnight stay will be in one of these Marinas. Antalya has been a residential area since the Paleolithic times. The city was under the reign of Lidia in the 7th century B.C., of Persians in 456 B.C., and of Alexander the Great in 333 B.C. After the death of Alexander, during the reign of Bergama king Attalos, a new city called Attaleia was founded and was conquered by the Selcuks in 1207. The most important historical buildings to see in the city are; ‘Hadrian’s Gate’, ‘Castle Gate’, ‘Clock Tower’, ‘City-walls’, ‘Inner Castle’, ‘Broken Minaret’, Antalya Archeology Museum and ‘Yivli Minare Mosque’ the landmark of the city.

Day 2: Olympos – Adrasan
While you have breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise programme and the boat. We will set sail to the ancient city of Olympos. Olympos, one of the most important port cities of Likia, has been an element of mythological stories all throughout history. Olympos was a home for pirates because of its location in the past and today it is now known all over the world with its historical values, 3.200 meter long beautiful coast, with its endemic plantation, and its wooden houses used as pensions today. After lunch and swimming break we will be heading to Adrasan Cavus Bay for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Demre – Gökkaya
Early in the morning we will set sail to Demre. After a nice breakfast in Demre you can join the tour to the ruins of Myra, a Lykian city which was also the city of bishop St. Nicholas who was known as ‘the protector’ of the children, the poor, and the sailors in Byzantians’ time. Following this optional land tour, our yacht sails to Gökkaya Bay where we will anchor for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Tersane – Üçağız
After breakfast we will set sail over the sunken city. We will be docking at Tersane Bay for lunch and swimming break. For dinner and overnight stay we will anchor at Üçağız Bay. If you wish, you can join the optional Kaş – Saklıkent excursion with an extra payment.

Day 5: Simena – Kekova
After having breakfast in Üçağız, you can take the chance to visit Simena which is located on the mountain skirts right behind Kaleköy opposite Kekova Island. There you can find the Genoese Castle and the ruins of a theatre with a 300 capacity. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Kekova.

Day 6: Ceneviz – Phaselis
We will start early in the morning and arrive at Ceneviz (Genoese) Harbour or Sazak Bay. After lunch we will anchor at Phaselis Bay. Phaselis was founded as a colony of the Rhodesian in 7th century B.C. Phaselis has three different bays and its people used to earn their living from the sea. The city was also famous for perfume trade in ancient times. If you wish, you can walk around the antique town full of antique ruins located on the seashore. Dinner and overnight stay will be in this beautiful bay.

Day 7: Alacasu – Kemer

Day 1, Marmaris –
We’ll board our Gulet mid afternoon. If you arrive early you can leave your luggage at Barbaros Yachting Office. Tonight we’ll enjoy the lights of Marmaris harbour over our splendid dinner.

Day 2, Arabian Island – Bozukkale (Loryma ) –
We’ll have a briefing about our cruise adventure over breakfast before setting sail to the Arabian Island or Bozukkale. This interesting island was the staging post for numerous sea battles dating back to antiquity.

The British traveler and writer Freya Stark visited Loryma and wrote concerning the historical significance of its sheltered harbor:

In the stillness of Loryma we spent the night. The wind could be heard howling outside, against the hills that enclosed our sheltered water as if it were a mountain tarn. Only a fanning ripple touched the centre. The sound of the wind, inarticulate and busy like the world’s voice, gave an illusion of safety, of an unassailable peace. If it could penetrate, how many sleeping echoes would it waken? Athenians from Samos, dodging the Dorian Cnidus, picking up ship’s tackle at Syme, sheltering at Loryma; Conon, before the battle, with his ninety ships; the Roman fleet that dared not face Hannibal in the offing; Cassius, gathering forces against Rhodes, twenty miles away. Each in their turn passed through the narrow opening and felt the sudden calm. In these places, the natural features have remained unaltered; the moments that visit them, fashioned to one pattern by nature itself, drop like beads on a string, through long pauses, one after the other, into the same silence. (The Lycian Shore, 1956)

Day 3, Datça -
After the breakfast we will hoist sail to Datça. . The city was founded by the Dors (Dorians) who came from Aegean Sea to the southern coast of Ionia in the 7th century B.C. The historian Strabon has a rightful saying about Datça’s weather: “God would send his beloved servants to Datça to live longer”. According to a myth while the Spanish pirates were passing by the coast of Datca, they disembarked people with Hansen’s disease in Sarıliman Bay and these abandoned people recovered from their disease with the help of the clean weather of Datça. You can explore Datça yourself or join the optional city tour. For dinner and overnight stay we will anchor in Datça or at a nearby bay.

Day 4, Aktur – Bencik –
Bencik harbour has a very small but unique entrance to it and once inside you will fully appreciate the full picture. In 550 BC the locals attempted to hold off the Persian invasion by digging a tunnel between the two gulfs. Impressive at the time but unsuccessful in deterring the Persians.

Day 5, Selimiye – Orhaniye -
Today, we will be sailing into the Hisarönü Gulf. For lunch we will dock in Selimiye Bay and for dinner and overnight stay our destination will be Orhaniye. You can join the optional jeep safari in Orhaniye. In Orhaniye Bay, you will see a unique scenery of a natural tidal formation called ‘kız kumu’ (Maiden’s Beach). There are so many myths about this reddish sand-path going from the shore to the inner parts of the sea. On a tiny island located in the bay, you can see the ruins of an antique castle and signs of an ancient city.

Day 6, Dirsekbükü Bozburun -
