Day 1, ISTANBUL – CAPPADOCIA – We start this morning with a pick up from your Istanbul hotel and transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Kayseri in Cappadocia. You will be transferred to one of the most unique hotel locations in the world. Most of the hotels in the town of Goreme have been carved out of the living rock, many of them being parts of old monastic structures dating back to early Christianity, some even older! You’ll have time to relax and wonder in awe at the incredible surroundings. You will then be whisked away on a trip of adventure that will take in Uchisar Castle, Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley with its animal and fairy-tale like rock formations, Agzikarahan Caravansaray, Pidgeon Valley, Zelve Open Air Museum and the ancient towns of Urgup and Avanos famous for it’s red clay pottery. You will end with a wine tasting and a dramatic sunset over the valleys. Tonight you may like to take in one of the famous Folklore Shows that abound, usually performed inside a huge cave, it’s a great night out!(L)

Day 2, CAPPADOCIA – Never to be outdone by what you experienced yesterday, today’s trip will show you more of this amazing place. Today we head to the south of Cappadocia and take in the incredible Underground city of either Kaymakli or Derinkuyu then head off to the Ihlara Valley a deep gorge carved through the countryside. Incredible cliff dwellings dating back to Christian monastic times we will visit the Selime Monastery and many other sights in the region. If you really want to pack more into your tour there is an opportunity not to be missed in a hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia, this can be done this morning before your tour begins and you will be transferred back to the hotel prior to your pick up. We will return you to Goreme and transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul where you will be transferred to your Istanbul hotel. (BL)
